JobsPLUS - Search Tips

Search for:

Here you can include such things as a Job title, Keywords or even a Company Name
Don't limit yourself to just ONE word either... two+ words to search with should give better results :)

In :

In this field, enter the name of a City, Town, Suburb (or even Postcode) to bring up results more relevant to that area.

Please make sure you SPELL the town name correctly, or we won't be able to find anything.

If there are several towns with the same name, I am gonna get confused... so either just use your Postcode (above) OR select the STATE you are in (below)

State

The "default" setting here is for ALL of Australia (unless a town/postcode is entered above) which could bring up a pretty BIG list of jobs!!!

But when browsing CATEGORY displays of jobs... can I suggest that selecting your STATE will improve the number of relevant results shown to you.

Even better... include a town or postcode to narrow it down a little further!!!

Distance

The default range is 50 kilometres and is used WHEN there is a town or postcode specified above.

If you live in a REGIONAL / COUNTRY area - i.e. outside the bigger metropolitan areas - you might want to INCREASE the distance a little to see more available vacancies.

Within Category

Selecting any one of these categories - without including other search possibilities - could actually produce THOUSANDS of results... which is pretty useless to you.

So to reduce the number of vacancies to browse through, make sure you use keywords, location, etc and that will then search WITHIN the category chosen.

Finally... any of the search selections you make are automatically included in the form on the BOTTOM of any results pages that are displayed... and that allows you to fiddle with them just a little more... so you should be able to find what you want :)
